State-of-the-Art Technology

Healthy teeth and gums are vital for maintaining a long-lasting, beautiful smile, which is why we want your treatment to be as comfortable and convenient as possible. At our practice we utilize some of the most advanced dental technology available to help keep your visit quick, effective, and enjoyable:

  • Digital X-Ray - Our digital x-ray system emits up to 90 percent lower radiation exposure than traditional x-ray machines and quickly produces sharp digital images, making problem areas easier to diagnose.
  • Air Abrasion - Allows us to use a stream of abrading particles, rather than a drill, to treat small cavities, eliminating the need for needles.
  • Intra Oral Cameras - These tiny cameras go inside of the mouth to produce video images of your teeth and gums on a TV monitor. This tool helps us effectively explain problem areas and treatments to our patients.
  • Rotary Endodontics - This efficient root canal tool allows us to complete your treatment in as little as one visit.
  • CEREC® 3D - We can craft your all-ceramic crown in just one visit. There is no need for waiting or temporary crowns with this revolutionary machine.

Family Dentistry - Pediatric Dentistry

Our services are available to every member of your family. We specialize in preventative dentistry for kids to keep their teeth strong and healthy. We believe that good dental habits begin at an early age and we strive to properly educate kids about the right way to care for their teeth and gums. Our thorough pediatric dental checkups include a complete examination for cavities, x-rays, fluoride treatment, flossing, and a comprehensive yet gentle cleaning. Contact us today to schedule appointments for the whole family!

Sedation Dentistry

We want all of our patients to be relaxed and comfortable when they come to Desert Oasis Dental - especially during treatment. For our patients who struggle with dental anxiety, we offer a choice of either nitrous oxide or oral anxiolytic sedation:

Nitrous oxide sedation is a great way to allow patients to relax without leaving them drowsy after treatment. Patients under nitrous oxide sedation are fully conscious, but extremely relaxed during procedures.

Oral anxiolytic sedation patients swallow a small pill to provide stronger sedation than nitrous oxide. This allows us more time to complete multiple treatments in just one visit, while you relax - making difficult trips to the dentist easier and more comfortable than ever. Patients who receive oral anxiolytic sedation will need a friend to drive them home after treatment.

Since sedation dentistry at Desert Oasis Dental is effective and completely safe, trips to the dentist have never been easier! Contact us today for more information about the sedation dentistry options we offer.

General & Restorative Procedures

All-Porcelain Crowns - CEREC® 3D

Teeth that have been damaged by decay or trauma can be restored through the application of beautiful all-ceramic crowns crafted using our state-of-the-art CEREC® 3D machine. After our dentist carefully removes the damaged portions of the tooth, he uses the CEREC® machine to create a custom fitted all-ceramic crown, which he then bonds securely to the healthy body of the tooth. Because these crowns are constructed entirely of translucent porcelain matched to the exact shade of the surrounding teeth, your restored tooth looks completely natural. All-porcelain crowns can also be used to improve the cosmetic appearance of your smile by restoring teeth that are misshapen or deeply stained. Contact us today for more information about restoring teeth with ceramic crowns

Root Canals - Endodontics

When a cavity penetrates deep into a tooth, the nerve can become infected and must be removed through a root canal procedure. Undergoing a root canal will save the tooth and prevent the infection from spreading into the jawbone. Using rotary endodontic tools to make the procedure more efficient and effective, our dentist will remove damage and access the infected root to remove it. Once the nerve is removed, the interior is sealed and a ceramic crown is placed on top of the tooth body to regain a fully functional and complete tooth. Because we employ rotary tools and the CEREC® 3D machine for crafting crowns, most root canal procedures and the necessary protective crown can be completed within one appointment. Sedation is available to help you relax during your treatment. Contact us today for more information about our root canal procedure.

Cavities - Tooth-Colored Fillings

It is extremely important that cavities are filled in a timely manner once they have been detected to prevent further damage and the possibility of nerve infection. At Desert Oasis Dental, we offer tooth-colored fillings for cavities to keep the repair work undetectable. These resin fillings are strong and keep your teeth looking healthy and beautiful. Contact us for more information about tooth-colored fillings.

Extractions

Occasionally, due to decay, trauma, or disease, a tooth needs to be extracted to maintain good dental health. Prior to your procedure, the area will be numbed and you may be given a sedative to relax. Once you are properly prepared, our dentist will carefully remove your tooth. During this procedure, your health and comfort are our primary concerns.

Dentures

We offer custom dentures to help patients with missing teeth maintain face shape, functional jaw alignment, and chewing abilities. These removable dentures fit comfortably over the gums and look natural. We also offer implant-secured dentures, or overdentures, to provide our patients with additional functional support when compared to removable dentures. Through the placement of a few titanium anchors, dentures can be fastened within the mouth and offer the added benefit of stimulating the jawbone to prevent bone loss. Contact us for more information about removable dentures and implant-secured overdentures to replace missing teeth.
